    ABOUT US

    iKhaya le Langa Hub

Ikhaya le Langa NPC is a non-for-profit company that unlocks the potential in African townships by creating sustainable spaces and is located in Langa, South Africa’s first planned township. Ikhaya le Langa strives to continue to serve as a place of learning and growth and we are open to serving and working with the community. Our philosophy, ‘sustainable people make sustainable communities,’ lay at the heart of who we are and what we do; be it our principles, activities and programmes. The Langa Quarter (Pty) Ltd delivers impact through its bespoke Social Enterprise Precinct (SEP) the Langa Quarter. In this SEP, it has been growing sustainable businesses: in tourism, hospitality, arts and agri-entrepreneurship. The Langa Quarter is underpinned by a cleaner, greener, safer, ‘partnership’ approach, creating multiple employment and business opportunities in a community, which for generations languished at the bottom of the apartheid racialised social order.

    Amazon Visit

We were thrilled to have the Amazon team visit our Social Innovation Hub and have them learn about our activities. We talked about the importance of skills development. The Amazon team was very knowledgeable about what we do and were interested in learning more about how we implement our projects and involve the community.. They got an opportunity to try some of our herbs. We are grateful for the voucher we received that will support us to continue making impact.
