About Us

ikhaya le Langa NPC (the house of Sun) is a ‘not-for-profit’ organization in Langa, the oldest historically Black township in the Western Cape. It is from here that ikhaya le Langa is revitalizing the Langa Quarter, an area of 13 streets comprising five hundred homes housing approximately 7,000 people.

Tozamile Mnapu is one of the Directors and also the resident artist, works in his studio and assists in the operation of Iindawo. Originally from the Eastern Cape, Tozamile has left a life of informal business to dedicate himself to his art. iKhaya Le Langa’s campus offers a permanent space for him to create and sell his work. He is finally utilizing his NVQ4 qualification and is establishing Tozamile Tourism Services providing art, craft supplies, art classes and art tours to the tourism industry. He is also trained as a Tour Guide and plays a very critical role in the Visit Langa project.

Asekho Mjojeli

Asekho Mjojeli, who is now one of the Directors at Ikhaya le Langa joined the team four years ago through the ambassador program. Since then, he has worked his way through the corporation, eventually finding his talent and love for coffee. As the barista of YG+B Coffee, he is the main operator of the coffee shop and he has established his own coffee shop called Asemjay’s Coffee in the Langa Quarter. He is passionate about developing the youth in Langa Community and ensuring that the operations and activities at Ikhaya le Langa Hub runs smoothly.
